“YOLO,” or “you only live once” for those of you who don’t know, is an acronym that has recently become popular and frequently used among the kids of today’s younger generations.
I think it’s kind of stupid, honestly. So does Nick Jonas.
Its overuse in today’s society is probably the reason I don’t like it very much. Or maybe it’s because people throw it around like it’s nothing when, if you think about it, only living once is kind of a big deal. People use it to validate why they should do something that’s dumb or risky or unconventional instead of using it to put into perspective how short life is.
You only live one life. You only have one chance to be great and do what you want. There isn’t a whole lot of room for hesitation or regret. With that being said, I have put together a playlist of songs that I like to listen to when I get caught up in the hustle and bustle of my daily activities and need to be reminded of how great life is.
